All the rooms of this future welcome center will be entirely immersed with mapping on their 4 faces increased by projections either on the ground or the ceiling.
The General Director of the united Nations and Ivan Pictet, President of the Fondation Pictet have decided to create a reception centre for the visitors, thus to bring a better understanding of the functions and activities of the United Nations and other international institutions based in Geneva.
In close collaboration with architect Charles Pictet , François Confino has developed a daring scenographical project in 8 « acts » to underline the activities of these organizations in the following domains: Environment-Rights-Peace-Humanitarian crisis-Migrations-Health-Development-Technology . Each theme is illustrated by a strong scenography, comprehensive to international public : for example, for peace, a military tank overgrown by vegetation and for migration, a continually moving ribbon of suitcases. Openig in 2024.
