Lighting design for Touzet's rooms
Le Casino Monte Carlo
The concept proceeds from the enhancement of each particular point of the architecture, the paintings, the windows and statues, by punctual touches of light.
The touches sculpt the volumes and give relief by contrast.
In a perspective of unity, dynamic and colorimetric sequences, corresponding to the hours of the different activities of the Casino, complete those created for the European, Renaissance and American rooms. These cues are automatically restored 24 hours a day. The RAAT and RAMO projector housings have been transformed to fit into the available building lateral niches for positioning the luminaires.
More than 200 indexed sources have been implemented.
The drivers, managed under B2P/DMX protocol, are programmed and rendered by a Pharos Architectural Controls.
Specific luminaires have been developed for 7 types of game tables.
In continuation of the lighting work carried out in 2019 in the Europe, Renaissance and America rooms, the Casino's management has commissioned us to continue the renovation of the lighting in the two Touzet rooms, still at the Casino de Monte Carlo.
The Touzet rooms, designed by architect Jules Touzet in 1890, are exemplary in terms of Belle Epoque architecture. These private rooms dedicated to games have majestic stained glass windows, grandiose cartids and remarkable paintings on the roof. Particularity, the two rooms are totally symmetrical and inverted separated by a series of large windows. Optical illusions are guaranteed.
